22-year-old Colvin O’Brien won his second Irish senior open in under three weeks last weekend when he won the Irish Open. This is his second win and he is now ranked number 1 in this event which puts him ahead of all the other top Irish professionals. Colvin is in the number 1 spot and is now very comfortable with points to spare. O’Brien won the six red open, playing some amazing and talented snooker beating all top players from around Ireland. He told the Carlow First he is proud with his achievement and had a few people to thank ‘’Marian and Jim Leacy have been a wonderful support to me and their facilities are fantastic, I’m happy, over the moon to have won two of these events, especially considering I just won an award in Carlow, this is a major bonus.”
