Corinthians have become the first Connacht club to qualify for Leinster Rugby’s U20 Purcell Cup final.

Two former Mayo teachers were rewarded for their services to the Association of Secondary Teachers Ireland (ASTI) recently. James Duffy and Antoinette Casey were presented with their awards at a ceremony which took place in the Gresham Hotel, Dublin, on Friday last May 27.

The message circulating in the regions over the past four weeks was that Community Games certainly had made a welcome comeback for all to witness.

Burrishoole and Belmullet booked their places in the Mayo GAA Intermediate championship final with hard fought wins over The Neale and Kitlimagh respectively on Sunday afternoon. 

This one should be special, just as in the junior final that precedes it, the local rivalry between both sides will add something special to Sunday's intermediate final. Hollymount-Carramore and The Neale have crossed swords plenty of times down through the years, but never with this much at stake.
