Last week 82 adult learners from Galway and Roscommon gathered at the Connacht Hotel in Galway City for a regional meeting of the National Further Education and Training (FET) Learner Forum. The event offered a platform for learners to share their experiences, discuss their learning journeys, and contribute to shaping the future of further education in Ireland.

The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and Longford and Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWETB) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance progression opportunities for FET learners.

FET staff members manage and deliver further education and training through a wide range of programmes and services within Galway and Roscommon including but not limited to, traineeships, apprenticeships, back to education initiatives, community education and training, music generation, vocational training opportunities scheme, youth services, youth advocacy, local creative youth partnership, adult information and guidance services and youthreach.
