Learn to excel in piano with Irish Piano Academy

Claire-Ann Ní Threasaigh is an experienced and qualified piano teacher who has been teaching piano to students of all ages for more than 20 years. She started studying classical piano at the age of seven in DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, where she completed all ABRSM grades. She then completed her Bachelors Degree in music and English at National University of Ireland, Maynooth, graduating in 2001. Since then she has been teaching piano and theory in many schools throughout Dublin, Kildare, Cork, Limerick, London, and Mayo.

Students from Jesus and Mary Secondary School in Gortnor Abbey picked up the third place award in the technology category of the BT Young Scientist and Technology Festival last weekend. Sarah Murphy and Mary Murphy picked up the bronze award for their 'Make a Mark - Sheep Marking Gun' project.

Young People from Mayo Excel in Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards

The Foróige Youth Citizenship Awards in partnership with Aldi took place last Saturday July 2 in the Citywest Hotel and Conference Centre, Dublin. Islandeady Foróige Club scooped the Gold Star Award for its project "A village enhancement project including the re-development of a local slipway", and Cyber Crew Ballina Neighbourhood Youth Project won a Bronze Star Award for its project "An internet safety awareness campaign". There was lots of other Mayo involvement in the awards.
