Galway Cathedral Summer Concerts start next week
Galway Cathedral’s 33rd year of annual summer concerts begins on Thursday next, 2 July, and continues every Thursday at 8.00pm until 6 August. The series opens with young Australian organist Jonathan Lee, who will use both of the cathedral’s organs. His performance includes 19th-century German composer Julius Reubke’s dramatic, symphonic tone poem for organ, renowned as one of the greatest organ works of the Romantic period.
