Another gripping finale as season 20 ends on Ros na Rún tonight

Ros na Rún, Ireland’s only rural TV drama is gearing up to its season finale tonight (Thursday) with compelling and complex stories of deceit, aggression, anger and narcissism. It appears the entire village is hiding something or a secret from someone to protect themselves at all costs. The TG4 drama comes to a highly dramatic and breath taking end at 8.30pm.

Mrs Holmes was a relation of the O’Hara-Burkes who owned Lenaboy Castle and the Lenaboy Estate. She persuaded them to sell some of their land, ‘the lower pasturelands’ farthest away from the house, down near the gates of the estate to be precise. There, she built the house in our photograph, which became known as Greenmount. She ran it as a B&B but eventually it became too big for her and she converted some farm buildings in what we now know as Lenaboy Park and built herself a small house.

Mayo slimmers lose incredible 24.5 tons in 2016

Super slimmers in Mayo have lost a whopping 54013.25lbs (that’s 3858 stone or 24.5 tons) in weight – that’s the equivalent of 18 cars. Altogether the members of the Ballina, Ballinrobe, Ballyhaunis, Castlebar, Claremorris, Westport, and Swinford Slimming World groups are now 54013lbs lighter than they were at the beginning of 2016.
