Ballinrobe Racecourse has just announced an exciting new event for fashion and millinery devotees.

All roads are leading to Ballinrobe this weekend and next with racing, sales, and a big marquee show with Panti Bliss, all on the cards over the next 10 days.

Facilities at Ballinrobe Racecourse are in line for a €500,000 redevelopment, which will see the renovation of the existing stable yard, a new main entrance, a new playground, machinery shed and a balcony extension.

The Connacht Property Auction will have its first public auction event of 2015 on Thursday February 26 in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway. There will be more than 25 properties offered including properties in Mayo, Galway, Roscommon, and Clare. Registration will begin at 6.30pm with the auction starting at 7pm. The auctions are held in the evening to make it as accessible as possible for buyers to attend. Furthermore, for those who cannot attend the auction, the company offers phone bidding and written proxy bidding, to facilitate anyone who is interested in bidding on one of the auction properties.

Castlebar Mitchels hurling club’s Hurling on the Green starts on Monday July 1 and will run for six weeks. The main sponsor is Deely Opticians and the club would like to thank Mark and Denise for their continued support of this fine project. Hurling on the Green is a fun hurling coaching camp for youth members of Castlebar Mitchels Hurling Club. New members are most welcome to join the club. Hurling equipment will be available for sale at subsidised rates for members. The coaching programme is designed to suit all age groups from six to 12. Hurling on the Green will commence on Monday July 1 and run for six weeks on The Mall, Castlebar, every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and Friday from 10am to 1pm. This year’s main coaches are Barry Lane and Alan Gavin and Cathal Walsh.
