CruinnTeo offer an intensive three-week Leaving Cert Irish course (June 4 to 21, 2024) for students entering fifth year or sixth year in September 2024. A key aim of CruinnTeo courses is to enhance students’ understanding and knowledge of the fundamental building blocks of the Irish language. Daily classes afford students the opportunity to both reinforce and enrich their language skills – reading, spoken interaction and writing.

The Leaving Certificate, also known as Gaeilge as the Árd Teist, was first established in this country in 1924 and the first papers were marked in 1925. It is the final examination in the secondary school system and also serves as the university matriculation exam. There was a time when these two were separate exams.
