Minister commends flood relief staff

Michael Finneran, TD, Government Deputy for Roscommon / South Leitrim and Minister for Housing and Local Services, this week [November 23] expressed his thanks to the county council staff for their work in dealing with flooding issues in the local counties during the past week.

He commended the staff for their work, which is still ongoing. In some cases staff worked 24/7 to alleviate the consequences of the worst flooding seen in the counties in decades.

As the local Minister of State, he is also appreciative that the County Manager’s office in the local councils kept him regularly updated, during what was a very difficult situation.
