Meeting on horror road on Tuesday

City Hall officials are to attend a public meeting in the Doughiska area to give a presentation on the upgrade of the Doughiska Road, including design, timescale, landscaping, traffic management and how construction will affect the local community.

City Councillor Mary Leahy organised the meeting and said, “This infamous road has been the subject of ongoing problems over the years. Residents have endured for years a grossly substandard road, full of potholes, with little or no lighting, and it has been extremely hazardous for cyclists and pedestrians alike.

The meeting will take place in the Racing Lodge on the Doughiska Road on Tuesday 23 at 7.30pm.
