Bonamh Market
After the success of last year’s Bonamh Market in Castlebar it has been announced that the market will return to Rush Street in Castlebar tomorrow, August 22. The market will be run in conjunction with Mayo Heritage Week and Déanta I Maigh Eo to showcase the best of Mayo made products.

Castlebar Fresh Food Market
Castlebar's fresh food market will take place in Castlebar Tennis Club pavilion every Friday morning from 9am to 2pm. Today, Friday, July 31 there will be a free talk by Ute Klinger at 12pm on how to clense the body and to lose weight naturally. Camino walk for hospice
Mayo Roscommon Hospice is looking for participants for this year's Camino Trek 4 Hospice challenge. The trek will take place from Saturday October 3 to Saturday October 10. The minimum fundraising target for the trek is €2,500, assistance in fundraising can be obtained from the hospice office in Knock. The trek will be fully supported by a licensed travel agent who specialises in Camino de Santiago tours, this year's trek will be taking the Portuguese path on the Camino. Swinford Agriculture Show
The 27th Swinford Agriculture Show will take place on Saturday, August 15 on the Heeran Farm on the Kiltimagh Road. The show will be launched by Cllr Michael Holmes, Cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council next Tuesday, July 21 at 8pm in the Gateway Hotel in Swinford.

Community walking programme in Charlestown
Mayo Sports Partnership is promoting locally a Charlestown Walking Group to actively encourage family, friends, neighbours to get walking. All are welcome to join. The group will meet at CBD Sports Complex at 8.30pm on Mondays with the aim of forming a walking club. Funding is in place to develop a walking trail in the town catchment area at Bachelors Walk.

Furnace Walk
The 17th Annual 10km Furnace walk in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice takes place on Sunday July 19, commencing from Derrada Community Centre at 2pm (located off Newport/Mulranny road). Sponsorship cards are available. Donations on the day welcome, All proceeds raised locally stay local and will help maintain local palliative care services which is free of charge to all who need it. Clare Island charity walk
The fifth annual Clare Island charity walk will take place tomorrow, Saturday June 27 and will consist of a 5k and 10k walk (cyclists are also welcome). The assembly point is Roonagh Pier at 10.30am with departure at 10.45am, the ferry will depart Clare Island at 4.45pm and return to the mainland at 6pm. The cost of taking part is €50 per person or via sponsorship cards and includes bus transfers from Newport, Castlebar, and Westport. For more information call (094) 9029144. Mayo Stroke Support Group
The Mayo Stroke Support Group in association with Croí, the West of Ireland Cardiac Foundation, will be holding its next meeting on Thursday April 30 from 11.30 am to 1pm in the Newman Institute, Ballina. The topic is “Talking Around- Practical Information on dealing with emotions after stroke.” Admission is free and tea/coffee will be provided. New members are always welcome to attend. Homecoming
