Christmas card printmaking workshop

Go along to the Custom House Studios at Westport Quay from 1pm to 5pm on Saturday November 29 to design and print your own Christmas cards using a variety of fine art print making techniques. Printing will be facilitated by artists Caroline Masterson and Grainne O’Reilly. All ages are welcome, there will be a cover charge of €5 on the door, no advance booking is available. Just turn up and print your Christmas card.

Fashion show for cancer support

A fundraiser in aid of Rock Rose House and Castlebar Hospice Building Fund is being organised by Soroptimist International Castlebar. It will take place in Breaffy House Hotel on Friday next, November 14. It promises to be a great night out. Last year’s show was a bumper success with over 300 people present.

The Erris Agricultural Show AGM took place on October 10 in the Broadhaven Bay Hotel with a large crowd in attendance. Chairperson Ciarán Brett thanked the committee and sub-committees for their hard work and dedication. The show’s success this year, and indeed over the last four years, is due to all of the local volunteers who give up their time and take their holidays around the days leading up to the show and afterwards to help in any way they can to make the show such a success.
