More than €37.5 million will be invested in water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the county as part of the Irish Water Proposed Capital Investment Plan 2014-2016.

South Connemara to benefit from €15million investment in water schemes

South Connemara water schemes are set for a €15 million investement to upgrade their infrastructure. The announcement was made yesterday by Phil Hogan, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government as part of the Department’s Water Services Investment Programme 2010– 2012. The investment will specifically benefit the communities of An Cheathru Rua, Rosmuc, and Casla, with two new reservoirs at Rosmuc and An Cheathru Rua.
