Research finds booking a holiday helps lift the January blues for majority of Irish adults

New research for Aer Lingus shows that holiday planning plays an important role for many people at the start of the year, with almost three quarters of Irish adults (73 per cent) saying that booking a holiday early helps lift the January blues or improves their mood. The survey also found that 85 per cent say it is important to book a trip early in the year so they have something to look forward to.

New research by Red C and commissioned by the Department of Transport has revealed that 77% of Irish people agree that walking, cycling and using public transport more is important with regards to impact on the environment and 60% are willing to personally make changes to how they travel.
