Galway City Council’s award-winning Climate Inspirations Festival has been hailed a major success following five days of talks, music, workshops, exhibitions, and community events across Galway City.

Former President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, will join this year’s Galway Climate Inspirations Festival in a special public conversation exploring the intersection of climate action, culture, creativity and hope.

Galway City Council’s award-winning Climate Inspirations Festival will return to the city with brand new dates- Wednesday, 24 June to Sunday, 28 June 2026, bringing five days of creative, community-led events focused on climate action, sustainability and positive change.

Galway City Council has been selected by the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment as an SDG Champion for the 2025-2027 programme.
