Galway Taxis has over the last two years changed its dispatch system to allow online and app bookings from smartphones. This has resulted in a growth in overall business over the last six months. The Galway Taxis app is now in operation for more than two years and accounts for almost 15 per cent of all bookings. With more than 4,500 app downloads on Android and iPhone, the company plans to introduce a Windows app later this year.
