A host of new events and festivals in Castlebar this year has helped to boost visitor numbers to the county town.

The Belmullet Festival is a friendly family event hosted in Belmullet. The festival includes pig racing, busking, a town treasure hunt, a car treasure hunt, and children’s fantasy football event. On Tuesday there will be the most important festival event: The Annual Heritage Day.
