The Answer have just confirmed a intimate show at Castlebar’s new independent music venue, The Clubhouse this summer. The Answer were formed in 2000 by guitarist Paul Mahon, whose father was a jazz trumpeter and member of seminal Irish showband The Freshmen, who released three albums on CBS and toured with the likes of the Beach Boys. Aged 18, Paul knew he wanted to put together a rock band and mentioned it to bassist Micky Waters, an old school friend who had been in numerous cover bands around Belfast.

Begley and Edey to perform in Milltown, Rathconrath

A rip-roaring national tour featuring renowned west Kerry singer and musician Seamus Begley and the BBC Radio 2 Folk Musician of the Year 2012, Tim Edey will perform in the wonderful surroundings of Milltown, Rathconrath in county Westmeath on Sunday April 22 at 7.30pm. The tour which is targeting local communities in six counties is funded by the Arts Council and organised by Artlands.
