Two decades of The Gradam - Galway’s bilingual business award now oscailte

Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh or as the people of Galway know it as “The Gradam”, is now open for nominations. Gaillimh le Gaeilge, the organisation that promotes the Irish language in the city with support from Galway City Council, Galway Chamber and other groups is calling on Galway businesses to sign up, get involved and embrace an Ghaeilge níos mó in 2022! The team is currently putting a schedule together and they would love to meet businesses and organisations in the city who are interested in using the Irish language to create a bilingual business or organisation.

Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2020 to be launched next week

Galway’s bilingual business award, Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2020, run by Gaillimh le Gaeilge, is now open for nominations. This award, which is the longest running award of its kind in Ireland, is organised by Gaillimh le Gaeilge, in partnership with t he Galway Advertiser and with support from TG4 and the Galway Chamber. It is named in honour of the late Seosamh Ó hÓgartaigh, founding member and company secretary of Gaillimh le Gaeilge.

Tomorrow, Friday, February 22, is the closing date for nominations for Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh - Galway’s bilingual business award. To enter, simply fill in the application form available online at www.gleg.ie, or pick up a form at Gaillimh le Gaeilge’s office on Flood Street, free of charge.

This Friday, February 23, is the closing date for nominations for Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh - Galway’s Bilingual Business award. You can nominate a business/organisation to enter the Gradam and you don’t need to be a fluent speaker to enter as Gaillimh le Gaeilge will work with you every step of the way. Mayor to launch Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2018

Méara Chathair na Gaillimhe, Cllr. Pearce Flannery will officially launch Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2018 as well as announce all of the Gradam sponsors for the year ahead at a press event in the Eyre Square Centre on Monday the 29th of January 2018 @ 12 noon. The Eyre Square Centre was the overall winner of Gradam Sheosaimh Uí Ógartaigh 2017.
