Free concert in Castlebar to launch Fáinne Óir

A free concert to officially launch Fáinne Óir - a new and original orchestral music and contemporary dance production by Mayo composer and Musical Director, Kathy Fahey, is to take place on April 28 in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar. The complete 90-minute work, which is being co-produced by Ms Fahey with Diaspora Engagement Specialist, Mike Hannon - will premiere in the Royal Theatre Castlebar on September 20, 2019, before travelling to New York where it will be performed at the Symphony Space Theatre on September 26.

Workshops by acclaimed NY choreographer and performance artist

NUI Galway has announced a series of movement and dance workshops led by acclaimed New York City choreographer and performance artist Maureen Fleming. The Centre for Irish Studies, in association with the O’Donoghue Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance, will host a series of six workshops beginning Wednesday, 8 March.
