There will be free parking for shoppers in the lead up to Christmas in the county town following this week's meeting of the Castlebar Municipal District.

Also present were members of the fire service, the Civil Defence and the HSE Ambulance Service. Topics covered at the meeting included an update on the current progress of Storm Lorenzo, as well as operations in relation to sandbags, car park closures and road closures.
