Athlone Town Mayor has afforded special tribute to former Republic of Ireland international football manager and much revered sporting icon, Jack Charlton who died on Friday last.

Ireland and Galway are this week mourning the loss of the legendary Jack Charlton (1935-2020) - the man who changed the footballing fortunes of this country.
