Seven Westmeath students have won top prizes in this year’s 58th Texaco Children’s Art Competition.

This Friday February 24, over 100 students will gather in Golden Island Shopping Centre, Athlone to participate in the Student Enterprise Awards co-ordinated by Westmeath County Enterprise Board.

Athlone GAA club and the wider Westmeath GAA community are coming to terms with the untimely passing last week of club stalwart David Allen (43), following a relatively short illness.
