Galway athletes thriving on the international stage
Emma Moore of Galway City Harriers placed seventh in a competitive heat over 800m individually, and later in the championships was instrumental on the Women's 4x400m team who set a new national U23 record in their heat. The quartet of Moore, Kate O'Connell (Lucan Harriers), Victoria Amiadamen (Dooneen AC), and Jenna Breen (City of Lisburn AC) clocked a time of 3:34.81 to dip under the previous record (3:34.87) set in 2017.
Galway clubs finish track and field season in style
Lauren Kilduff of Craughwell AC topped the weekend’s performances by becoming U18 National Champion in the 400m Hurdles and broke the Championship record with a time of 60:33. Clubmate Emma O’Donovan took home bronze in 62.44.
