Ability West is to hold a five mile sponsored walk this St Stephen’s Day in Galway in a bid to help provide services and support for people with an intellectual disability.

It has been brought to the attention of Barnardos children’s charity that a small number of bogus fundraisers have been operating in various locations in the country, including Mayo. The people concerned have been collecting door to door in residential and commercial areas claiming they are collecting money on behalf of Barnardos for a sponsored walk.
