THE 2012 Colours Fringe Festival opens this Sunday and runs until Sunday July 8, featuring music, visual arts, literature, dance, and theatre.

THE COLOURS Fringe Festival swings into action next week at various venues throughout the city and among the featured events is a new play called Sparks at the Town Hall Studio, written and directed by Pat Hynes.

FRESH FROM a triumphant visit to Listowel Writer’s Week, Truman Town Theatre’s Shortcut To Hallelujah makes a welcome return to the Town Hall Theatre for a five night run.

ORION’S BELT is a group of three bright stars in the Orion constellation. It is also the name of a new Kinvara-based theatre company which makes its Galway bow in the Town Hall studio next week.

NEXT WEEKEND sees the latest instalment of Music For Galway’s annual midwinter festival. This year’s offering is entitled Intimate Voices and offers a varied musical programme, ranging from the 17th to the 21st century, as well as a unique combination of artistry involving voice, dance, literature, drama, and visual art, as well as two internationally renowned quartets.

INTIMATE VOICES, Music For Galway’s annual January festival, will not only appeal to chamber music fans, but enthusiasts of the visual artists, dance, and jazz.
