Young people from all over the country gathered in Clontarf Castle for the ‘Ten Outstanding Young Person’ (TOYP) Awards. An Taoiseach Enda Kenny met students from Balla NS and Davitt College, Castlebar, at Excited Digital Learning Festival in Dublin recently. The theme for this year’s festival, ‘Celebrating Success and Sharing Innovation’, was ably demonstrated by students and teachers from across the country during the two-day event in Dublin Castle, who gave presentations on the tools and techniques they employ when using technology in the classroom, and also by the impressive display of completed student projects from both national and secondary level pupils.

Three new primary care centres were announced for Mayo this week as part of a bundle of 14 centres across the country, the three new centres will be located in Ballinrobe, Claremorris, and Westport. The centres are being funded by The European Investment Bank.
