Mad for Sam on Irish TV

Irish TV, Ireland’s first international TV channel, will broadcast a live two-hour All Ireland special from the Park Hotel in Kiltimagh on September 13 from 8pm to 10pm. The Mad for Sam live show will air on Sky channel 191, Freesat 400, all free-to-air boxes, Eircom’s eVision 191 and online at www.irishtv.ie. The special two-hour live show will feature interviews with former legends of the game, expert analysis from top GAA pundits, and all the excitement and atmosphere in the build-up to the big match.

Taoiseach welcomes An Post job creation in Castlebar

An Taoiseach Enda Kenny has welcomed new job creation by An Post at its mail delivery unit at Moneen, Castlebar.  An Post has invested €2million in the facility in Castlebar since it opened in 2012 as a dedicated purpose-fitted mail-processing operation. There are 31 staff already working with An Post at Moneen and a further five new jobs will be created at the facility.

Four years after a survey found the need for one, and after a number of false starts over the past 12 months, Castlebar finally saw the opening of an Educate Together school in the town. The school which opened its doors on Wednesday morning with 12 junior infants registered on the roll book is the second Educate Together school in the county.

There was good news yesterday with the announcement that Coca-Cola plans to invest €26 million in its Ballina operation. The investment will see an additional 25 jobs created in the north Mayo facility over the next three years. The announcement was made by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny with Muhtar Kent, chairman and chief executive officer, The Coca-Cola Company.
