Culture Night is a national day brought to you by the Arts Council celebrating all that makes up the richness and diversity of culture in Ireland today; connecting people to cultural activities locally and nationally and opening up pathways to ongoing engagement. There are over 40 events happening in Athenry, Ballinasloe, Ballinderreen, Ballygar, Ballyglunin, Claregalway, Clarinbridge, Clifden, Clonbur, Gort, Headford, Inagh Valley, Indrebhán, Inish Óirr, Inishbofin, Kinvara, Mountbellew, Newbridge, Oranmore, Rosscahill, Roundstone, Tuam and online.

FOR 18 months the arts were in lockdown, but the autumn saw them return, and this weekend there will be events all over the city and county with Culture Night 2021, under the theme of ‘Come Together Again’.

Culture Night is Ireland’s national celebration of culture, creativity and the arts. It takes place all over Galway city and county on Friday 21st September and sparkles well into the night. From Bofin to the Bridge of Banagher, from Bearna to Ballybane and beyond, dozens of entrancing, beguiling and enjoyable events are talking place in a truly brilliant programme that showcases the creative communities and landscapes of Galway, European Capital of Culture. The offerings this year – performances, workshops, exhibitions, concerts, classes, talks, walks and much more for all ages in every conceivable area of creativity - look to be the most exciting ever, and everything is free, brought to you with love from Galway!
