The Great Outdoors on Eglinton Street will hold a free talk on everything one needs to know ahead of walking the Camino de Santiago.

Hospice events

A race night in aid of local hospice/palliative care services will take place in the Failte Bar, Claremorris, on Friday October 25 commencing with a barbecue from 6.30pm to 8.30pm followed by music with the Ceide Boys from 7pm to 9pm. First race will take place at 9pm with an auction race at the end of the night and fantastic prizes to be won, and spot prizes throughout the night. There will be prizes for best dressed lady and best dressed gent.

Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation is looking for walking and adventure enthusiasts to embark on the first stage of The Camino de Santiago. On April 26 2014, travel with them for one week to France and northern Spain to trek one of the oldest pilgrim routes in the world – El Camino de Santiago de Compostela.
