GALWAY THEATRE goers are in for a very special treat next weekend when Dublin’s Gate Theatre brings its world-renowned production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot to the Black Box, for one night only, this Saturday.

As part of the Gate Theatre’s 80th anniversary celebrations, the acclaimed production of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot is currently on tour to 40 venues across the 32 counties of Ireland, playing for one night only in each venue.

Regarded by many as the finest Beckett actor of his generation, Conor Lovett will star in the Gare St Lazare production of Beckett’s masterpiece, First Love, in the Passionfruit theatre, Athlone next weekend.

GLAM ROCK legends the New York Dolls and a major dance show by the brilliant Michael Clark, inspired by the Glam era of David Bowie, Iggy Pop, and Lou Reed, are just two of the many exciting shows, concerts, events, readings, and exhibitions lined up for this year’s Galway Arts Festival, which runs from July 13 to 26.

Samuel Beckett’s Krapp's Last Tape returns to the Town Hall Theatre Studio by popular demand following a sell-out run last year. The acclaimed production will be performed from Tuesday March 3 to Saturday March 7 at 8.30pm and on Friday March 6 in a special late evening performance at 10.30pm.
