Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation’s 12 shops will reopen to the public on Tuesday June 9. The nine shops in Mayo and three in Roscommon have remained closed since March 12th due to the Covid-19 crisis.
The battle to contain the Covid-19 virus has seen the Government close all schools, colleges and childcare facilities from today, Thursday, March 12 until Sunday, March 29, following recommendations from the National Public Health Emergency Team.
There was excitement and emotion as the volunteers from the 12 Hospice shops visited the Hospice for the first time, ahead of the open week where over 700 people, comprising of fundraisers, volunteers, supporters, former board members, have registered to see this fantastic facility.

Ireland West Airport staff were delighted this week to present a cheque for €33,000 to the airport’s three staff nominated charities for 2018 – Down Syndrome Ireland, Mayo & Roscommon Hospice and The Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.
Preparations are currently well underway for the annual Mayo Roscommon Hospice Memorial Walk which takes place across the region this coming Sunday September 9. The walk now in its fifth year, will see hundreds of people in five different locations across Mayo and Roscommon, participating in a 5km leisurely stroll in memory of a friend, a family member or a loved one.
