Check it Fits roadshow coming to Ballina

To address the issue of not restraining children properly in cars, the RSA is taking its Check It Fits Roadshow on the road again, from the October 8 to 12. The roadshow will visit Humbert Street car park in Ballina on Saturday October 8 from 10am to 5pm. At the roadshow, parents, guardians, and grandparents will be given the opportunity to get their child’s car restraint fitted by an expert, free of charge.

A hard-hitting road safety message will be delivered to some 1,000 teenagers at the Royal Theatre in Castlebar on February 3 when they view the award-winning Roadsafe Roadshow. The event has been organised in conjunction with the Mayo County Council, An Garda Síochána, and the local emergency services. It depicts graphically how a night out ended in tragedy and permanent disability for one Roadshow participant.
