People across County Galway are being encouraged to check their EuroMillions tickets after the National Lottery revealed the winning ticket in Tuesday night's ‘Ireland Only Raffle’ prize of more than €1 million was sold in the west.

150,000 punters are expected to flock to Ballybrit from Monday when the country’s most popular racing festival gets underway.
