Fine Gael Leader, Enda Kenny TD, has encouraged every person in Mayo who is eligible to vote to check if they are on the Register of Electors. In advance of every election, many people believe they are on the register, however, when they receive no polling card, they realise that they are not on the register and it may be too late to be added.

As voters head back to the polls today to have their second say on the Lisbon Treaty, it seems many have either binned their polling cards or never received them due to new procedures.
