The Avonmore Big Picnic for Barrettsown aims to encourage everyone in Mayo, whether it is individuals, families, schools, or companies, to have a picnic this summer and raise much needed funds for Barrettstown.

There will be music and fun for all ages when The Bealtaine Picnic event is held in the Galway City Museum on Saturday May 2 from 2pm to 5pm.

Young and old come out to play at the Museum of Country Life, Turlough on Sunday August 2 for traditional games and a picnic from 2.30pm to 4pm. Light refreshments provided.

As part of a nationwide campaign The Ardilaun hotel will host a teddy bears picnic for Barnardos this Sunday July 5 from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. All proceeds raised from teddy bears bought on the day will go to Barnardos, Ireland’s leading children’s charity.

The Aftermath get ready for their three night residency on The Word stage at this years Electric Picnic festival with a couple of shows around the country including Danny Byrnes, Mullingar this weekend, Sunday August 30.
