Municipal District to host address of recognition for local religious orders

Athlone-Moate Municipal District will host an address of recognition for seven religious orders who have made a significant contribution to education in Athlone and its hinterland on Wednesday, April 24.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) stated that 12 closure orders and one prohibition order were served on food businesses during the month of July – making last month one of the highest in 10 years for enforcement orders issued. Closure orders were served under the EC (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations, 2010 on New Jasmine House restaurant, Aiden Street, Kiltimagh, Mayo on July 17 2012. The order was lifted on July 20 2012.

Closure order served on restaurant in Swinford

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland reported that seven closure orders were served on food businesses during the month of March for breaches in food safety legislation, pursuant to the FSAI Act, 1998 and the EC (Official Control of Foodstuffs) Regulations, 2010.
