The Irish Cancer Society has revealed the counties in Ireland which have a high bowel cancer incidence rate at its launch of bowel cancer awareness month which takes place in April. Cancer survivors from Mayo attend Irish Cancer Society conference

Record numbers of cancer survivors attended the recent Irish Cancer Society National Conference for Cancer Survivorship. To mark its 50th Anniversary, the Irish Cancer Society held a milestone conference entitled Living Well with Cancer, bringing together over 800 cancer survivors for the first time. Cancer Survivors from Mayo attended the conference alongside representatives from Mayo Cancer Support Association. The two-day event which took place in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, was the largest event of its kind by the society, and was kindly supported by Roche.

Free conference for cancer survivors

The Irish Cancer Society will hold a free conference for cancer survivors on Friday September 20 and Saturday September 21 at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin, which representatives from Cara Iorrais Cancer Support Centre and Mayo Cancer Support Association will attend. Mullingar pharmacists cycle for Irish Cancer Society

Five Mullingar-based pharmacists recently cycled from Dublin to Galway on July 12-13, to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society. To date they have raised over €10,000 for the Irish Cancer Society.
