The Irish feature film Learning to Breathe Under Water, filmed in Galway last September and co-produced by Galway-based production company Éiru Films, has been officially selected for the prestigious Great 8 Showcase at this week's Cannes Film Festival.

An independent feature film is seeking submissions from Galway artists to showcase their work as pieces created by a character in the film. Selected artworks will be filmed in and around Galway throughout September, and some commissions will be required.
