Walsh scored 1-2 in the second-half — 1-4 in total as they killed off the hopes of the Metropolitan girls.

Last Saturday was a memorable day for Kilkenny schools as Grennan College (Thomastown), Loreto Kilkenny and Castlecomer Community School all recorded All-Ireland victories in Trim Co Meath. The day began with Grennan College landing honours in the Roinn B title defeating St Louis Ballymena 4-9 to 3-3. Grennan playing into the breeze during the opening-half led 3-2 to 2-1 at half-time thanks to goals from Aine Lannon, Niamh Donnelly and Kelly Hamilton.
