Milltown will be a match for struggling Corofin

The first of this year’s county football semi-finals takes place this Sunday (4.15pm) at Tuam Stadium between Milltown and Corofin.

Pádraig Pearses will have it all to do to advance in this Sunday’s All Ireland Intermediate Hurling Club Championship semi-final at Templetuohy, Tipperary (2.30pm).


•The Sean Purcell Academy Day takes place this year on Saturday and will be hosted by Tuam. This annual event is a blitz day for all intercounty u-14 academy players which will see 13 teams from six counties taking part. The participating players have been chosen after a selection process. The games will be played at two venues in Tuam, Tuam Stadium and the Tuam Stars ground, commencing at 11am.

Former county minor manager Ned Burns is co-ordinating a three-day football camp at St Jarlath’s College, Tuam next Monday to Wednesday from 10am to 1.30 am each day.
