The fourth National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) table quiz featuring transition year students of secondary schools from Athlone and the Midlands region took place in the Nursing and Health Sciences building at Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT) recently.

Local school teams performed well at the second National TY Schools Safety Table Quiz, organised by the Midlands branch of the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) and hosted by AIT.

At the All Ireland Safety Quiz Finals held in Athlone on Saturday, Thermo King - Ingersol Rand, Galway was the overall winner in the Previous Entrants category.The All Ireland Occupational Safety Quiz Finals are run jointly by the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) and the Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISG). A total of 14 teams competed from all parts of the island of Ireland.
