An information morning on the fantastic Renville Sports & Community Grounds development will take place for members of Oranmore Maree GAA One Club and the local community on Saturday, June 3 at 10am in the Galway Bay Golf Resort Club House.

The sporting needs of this and future generations in the Oranmore area received a mega boost this week when An Bord Pleanála granted planning permission for the much needed Renville Sports & Community Grounds, a Sports Centre of Excellence, in the area of Oranmore-Maree. Renville Sports & Community Grounds will serve the sporting needs of the area with a number of all-weather and full size pitches, and other community facilities.

GAA president Larry McCarthy visited the planned Renville Sports & Community Grounds of excellence on Monday and immediately made one local man happy, when he pulled the winning name in the Oranmore-Maree GAA One Club’s fundraising draw.

Oranmore-Maree GAA One Club have launched a Fundraising Competition for their planned sports centre of excellence, Renville Sports & Community Grounds, where one lucky winner will win a brand new Ford Puma ST-Line X Hybrid in association with Sheils Motor Group. Oranmore/Maree GAA has confirmed plans for its new Rinville Sportsground development following the announcement of €2.1 million in government funding under the Large-Scale Sports Infrastructure Fund.

A new sports complex for Oranmore Maree has been given the green light by the Galway County Council.
