Mayo groups to receive funding for safety of older people

Pat Carey TD, Minister at the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, has announced funding of over €39,000 for a further 24 community and voluntary groups under the new Seniors Alert Scheme. In Mayo groups to receive funding are Fahy Community Alert Group, €279.90; Louisburgh Lecanvey Community Alert, €547.00; SVDP St Colman’s Conference, €2,458.00.

Community support for older people

Pat Carey T.D., Minister at the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, has announced funding for 35 groups under the Scheme of Community Support for Older People totalling over €111,000 in funding.

Funding for Kilmaine Community Alert

Kilmaine Community Alert has just been awarded €3,185.70 of €123 million donated to 23 groups under the Scheme of Community Support for Older People. Announcing the news, Pat Carey TD, Minister at the Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs, added that the scheme is now closed to applications and has been replaced by the new Seniors Alert Scheme.
