THE BRILLIANT Steve Bennett, one of Ireland's finest young comedians - he won the inaugural Irish Comedian of the Year Award remember - will host The Boozy Movie Bingo Brunch at Pálás cinema bar.

To celebrate Galway being the European capital of culture in 2020, the chefs at Merrow restaurant in the Pálás cinema launched the first of their menus for this year — inspired by European cuisine, using local Irish produce.

Named so after opening to distinguish that the restaurant could be visited without a cinema ticket, which perhaps caused some confusion at the start.
