WhistleBlast Quartet

The WhistleBlast Quartet will facilitate a three-day concert/workshop project with the children of Mayo Abbey National School on February 27, 28 and 29. A free family concert will take place in Mayo Abbey Church on Friday February 29 at 6pm.

Friday night, April 1, saw the launch of the ‘Buy a Block’ initiative in aid of Mayo Abbey NS. The launch was held at an Irish night in Malachy Byrne’s. The wonderful Sister Act provided the music and the night was well supported by parents and people from the local community.

Confirmation of Mayo Abbey National School funding

Fine Gael Leader, Enda Kenny, TD, has received written confirmation from the Department of Education and Skills that a grant has been approved for Mayo Abbey National School to construct additional accommodation for a new three classroom building. The current school is almost 115 years old and is in need of serious improvement works.
