Enda Kenny congratulated on 35 years representing Mayo

Mayor of Castlebar and Fine Gael town councillor Ger Deere has congratulated the Fine Gael leader, Enda Kenny, for an outstanding 35 years representing the people of Mayo. Mr Kenny was elected to Dáil Éireann on 12 November 1975 when the first ever Mayo West by-election was held. Fine Gael party colleagues in Castlebar Town Council, Cllr Brendan Henaghan, Cllr Eugene McCormack, and Cllr Noreen Heston, also extended congratulations to Deputy Kenny.

Councillor Michelle Mulherin received a unanimous thumbs up this week at a meeting of Ballina Fine Gael district executive to be the Fine Gael candidate from Ballina in the next general election. The district executive, which comprises party membership throughout the Ballina Electoral Area, nominated Cllr Mulherin to contest the party’s general election selection convention which will take place on December 5 next at TF Royal, Castlebar. The party will select its team to contest the next general election for the Mayo constituency on the day.

Fine Gael Leader, Enda Kenny, has contacted the Health Service Executive regarding the proposed Interim Oncology Day Services Unit at Mayo General Hospital in Castlebar and reports that refurbishment works are under way within the former Clinical Decision Unit of the Main Hospital building to provide a new interim location with additional space for oncology day services.

Warm welcome for new jobs at Hollister
