Enda Kenny to lead Mayo Pink Ribbon Cycle

This year there are three different routes in three different distances – 50k, 110k, and 175k. That is something to suit everyone in the friendliest cycling event in the west, which will once again be led by its patron, Taoiseach Enda Kenny.

Camán Abú takes first swings in Mayo

The first ever Camán Abú adult recreational hurling blitz took place in Mayo recently, as some 30 players descended on the Sportlann in Castlebar to have a go at the novel game introduced by Croke Park in recent years. The Poetry Tree has been doing a tour of some of Mayo’s bigger libraries. The tree has just left Ballina Library and the poetry tree is currently in Ballinrobe Library. So far the tree has visited Castlebar Library, it made a special appearance in the foyer of the Clew Bay Hotel during the Rolling Sun Literary Festival in Westport, and then moved to Westport Library.
