It is expected that Labour will select one candidate for the Mayo County Council elections in June and two candidates for Castlebar Town Council at a convention today (Friday).

Castlebar Chamber is launching its Vision 2020 at TF Royal Theatre on Monday night November 10 and they have issued an open invitation to the business community of the town to attend. This will be an exciting event including the presentation of the Vision 2020 and associated projects and displays by partners and local businesses.

This levy was introduced as part of Budget 2009 by the Minister for Finance, Brian Lenihan.

Three candidates have been selected by Fianna Fáil to contest the Local Elections this June in the Swinford electoral area in Mayo.
