The future of GMIT's Castlebar campus has taken another twist this week as concerns for the future of the campus intensified. Fine Gael senator Michelle Mulherin said that she had been informed that a number of staff and students at the Castlebar campus had been asked to move to the Galway campus, saying: “I am very concerned that between 12 and 15 staff, at GMIT Castlebar have been asked via their union to transfer voluntarily to Galway within three to four weeks. Linenhall Film Club continues its spring 2016 season with moving and magical Japanese drama Uzumasa Limelight on Tuesday March 15 at 8pm. The film is poignant, nostalgic, portrait of the men behind the golden age of chanbara (Japanese sword-fighting dramas and films). Uzumasa Limelight goes behind the scenes of the distinctive film genre for which Japan is famous.
